RecallIQ is a free study aid. You pick a PDF. The app extracts text on the device and sends that text over HTTPS to the API you configure so it can extract study concepts. Narration plays on the device. Spoken answers are transcribed on the device and sent for a semantic grade. Progress is stored on the device (Room, with a JSON file fallback if Room fails).
Collected
- PDF text you import (for concept extraction)
- Spoken answers you give (for grading)
- On-device study progress and settings
- Optional app API key (not an OpenAI key)
Not collected
- Legal name, contacts, location, ads ID
- Facebook or other social data
- Payment information (no Play Billing in 0.9.0)
- Health or medical information
The OpenAI key, if used, exists only on the server as OPENAI_API_KEY. Server logs do not store textbook bodies by default. Data is not sold. Delete the app or clear storage to remove on-device study data.
RecallIQ does not guarantee grades, predict exam scores, or provide medical or neuroscience treatment.
